March 25
























Two of my great aunts enjoyed china painting, a hobby that is past its prime these days.  This is a detail from a plate that my Aunt Ethel painted on June 1, 1954.

When she wasn't painting flowers and berries on plates, she was a poet, and in fact was the poet laureate for the state of Louisiana for several years.
