I have suddenly and unexpectedly become weary of this project.
So, I am on a break for a while. I am not certain how long this break will be - I might be back tomorrow, it might not be until November, it might be never.
Thanks for looking at my photos, though. And come back from time to time: there may be new ones to look at.

Folks in Ralls, Texas, are very helpful.
So helpful, in fact, that they've labeled the buildings.

Hello.
Welcome to Flower Day here at the blog. This is where I will tell you everything I know about the flower in the photograph:
1. It is pink. With yellow in the middle.
2. There are four petals.
3. That black speck is an ant.
That is all.
My horticultural knowledge is quite extensive. Sometimes I know as many as four - Yes! Four! - things about a flower.

It's either funny or ridiculous (in a bad way) how I can get attached to things that ought to be insignificant.
One time, several years ago, I was in Austin. My friend Jan and I went to her regular coffee place just before I headed home. She told the Coffee Guy that I was coming to Lubbock and when he gave me the coffee, he'd added this very inspirational message on the lid.
And I've saved it.
It's just what I do.

Yesterday, when I bought this little table (at Catholic Family Services's thrift store), the man in line in front of me said, "Interesting table." in a tone that implied the opposite.
To be fair, it wasn't that great looking yesterday. It was painted a white color that had turned sort of yellow. And was chipped.
But then, I did my HGTV deal, and what do you know? A turquoise table to balance the oranges and corals in the room. I find it to be quite interesting!
